Background:
Japan Registry is the Domain Name registration component of Solis, a 100% Japanese corporation, and a firm that is quickly becoming a leader in the Japanese online marketplace.
In March of 2000, Darshaun Nadeau, an American Net entrepreneur with several years business experience in Japan developed a Japanese branch to his California corporation. www.japanregistry.co.jp was officially launched at that time, offering co.jp domains and Japanese branch services.
In February of 2001, Darshaun and business colleague, Ben Ward incorporated Solis (www.nipponsolutions.com - Japanese Language Site). In the year since, the team has focused on growing its presence in the marketplace. On July 3, 2002, Solis changed it's name to Solis and moved to Shinjuku.
